3.75 Things You Can do for My Birthday that Won’t Cost a Thing. I Promise.

My family at my 70"s party last year. Yes that's me with the permed afro puffs.

It’s my birthday!  It’s my birthday!

Last year, my family threw an awesome shindig to rock my 40th.  As you see in the pic we did the whole 9 with the wigs, the funky outfits and the 70’s swag.  And yes, that’s me in the middle with the permed afro-puff wig.

This year, I will do the usual and just wing it for the weekend. But I do have a few small, wishes that can’t come to fruition without YOU.

As you know, I’ve been blogging for a little over two years now.  The blog has covered varying topics surrounding determination, goal setting, divorce and of course all of the fights that I have with my plate and my exercise regimen. It has been a complete joy to share my life experiences in my attempt to help folks get through some hurdles and take that next step towards the destiny that God has for them.

What you may not know is that my 2/5/10 year plan involve me eventually becoming a professional blogger, motivational speaker, author and life coach. I love to challenge, motivate, entertain people and my desire is to serve as many people as I can. That’s where YOU come in.

So for my birthday, these are the small and might I add NO COST requests I have of YOU:

1. Subscribe to the blog and automatically receive each post. Over on the top right corner on this page there is a fabulous blue header that reads “Subscribe to Blog via Email.”  Please put your email address in there.  You will receive a confirmation link in your email.  Click and confirm. I promise you will not get slammed with posts as I post no more than once a week.

When a post gets delivered to your email, open it and click on the title of the post.  The helps me out by adding you as an official visitor to the blog.

2. Make comments on the posts.  No comment is too short–even one word responses.  Comments get conversations going and attracts more visitors and activity to the blog.  It also lets me know your thoughts and helps with future posts.

3. Post the blog on social media. Help promote Keep It Moving!  I almost have 1,000 FB friends and I really know most of you personally.

What would happen If each of you put this post on your wall after reading (there are social media buttons on the bottom of each post) and share the post with a friend?  That would be awesome.  Make comments on the FB post! Blow up my site!  Like me on FB by clicking here.

  • Tweet and retweet on Twitter
  • Post an update on Linked-In
  • Send it out via email or any other social media engine you use.

There are some other technical things that I need to do, but it is a very futile effort without my readers.  You know, you wonderful people. These quick and small gestures can help expand my base and bless a lot of folks.

So that’s it.  Y’all made me beg like Keith Sweat but that ok. It’s my birthday–help a sista out.

If this is your first time on the blog or would like refresher, check out past posts.  Enjoy!
